Jason Umphlett

General Manager

Jason is one of the founders of Current Events, which was established the beginning of 2011. He has over a decade of experience in event rentals and event design. He started his career in the industry with one of Current Events competitors as a Delivery Driver. From there he worked his way up and had a gift for all things customer service and sales. He and his team have been the driving factor for Current Events success. His focus has been more on building a business that’s main focus is creating a strong foundation and team that is dedicated to customer service and quality rather than the bottom dollar. In addition to managing the operations, client and partner relationships for the business, Jason works on certain projects in support of the rest of Current Events team. He has extensive experience working at every level of event rentals and event design, leading his team to deliver successful events for their clients, Including feasibility planning, event goal setting, space & site selection/support, team solicitation, budget and schedule management, occupancy planning, and overall special event management. Jason’s drive for excellence has proven him as a trusted and ethical leader in the industry. Strong business and personal relationships along with community involvement makes Jason a valued asset to many.

Jason enjoys his work with clients and partners, but also enjoys spending time with his family. He is tries to maintain a well balanced work life by doing his best to stay active. Whether it be going to the gym, hanging out with friends, playing golf or traveling.
